Measurement While Drilling (MWD)


Terrapin Well Service (TWS) offers Measurement While Drilling (MWD) services from our base in Casper, Wyoming for the entire Rocky Mountain region.  We use the state of the art EM (Electro Magnetic) MWD equipment for continuous D&I surveys, and gamma logging applications.  The EM System measures and transmits data to the surface, which allows for determining the location and orientation of the bottom-hole assembly. Our Solid State EM Tools are extremely reliable due to the lack of moving parts and simplicity of the design, having an MTBF of over 2500 hours.
We provide:     

  • Data transmission from depths of up to 14,000 feet (4200+ meters)
  • Real time Annulus Pressure, Drill Collar Internal Pressure, Rotation Sensing
  • Optional Gamma Logging
